Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about Tulisko, all in one place. If yours is not here, write to us through the contact page.

Getting started

How do I create an account?

Type your email on the login page and hit Continue - that is the only field at the start. If you already have an account, we route you to the method you use (sign-in link or Google); if not, you pick how to sign up right there. The sign-in link arrives by email and opens at /magic-link, and if you turn on two-step verification (2FA) you confirm the code at /two-factor. There is no separate registration page, it all happens in one place. The interface is available in 28 languages.

I have a pet - where do I start?

Add it at /pets/new, or start from /add-animal if you are not sure which path fits. A pet profile is free. The free plan gives you a photo limit of 100, counted account-wide and shared by all your pets and memorials. The file limit is 1.5 GB, also account-wide. The health record is optional and you switch it on yourself at /pets/[petId]/health-record. Documents draw on their own 250 MB account pool. The attachment limit per animal is 50. From there it is a short hop to GPS walks (/walks) and walking meetups (/meetups).

I am looking for an animal - where do I look?

The directory is /animals, filtered by source: source=organization (shelters and foundations), source=private (people rehoming an animal) and source=breeder (breeders). You can also start from /organizations or the map /map and write directly through /messages. Private listings are contact-only: Tulisko is not part of the payment and takes no commission, you arrange everything with the other side. You confirm taking an animal from a shelter at /adoption/accept.

I run a shelter or foundation - how do I join?

Create the profile at /organizations/new and pick the type: shelter, foundation or other organization. Everything is managed from /organizations/[slug]/manage - animals, opening hours, needs, walks, volunteers and messages, plus litters for shelters. You can offer walks with your animals, which people book straight from your profile. There are at least 440 organizations from 10 countries in the directory today.

I am a service provider - how do I get listed?

Create your listing at /services/new. There are 12 categories to choose from: vet, animal hospital / 24h clinic, pet shop, training, groomer, pet-sitting, behaviorist, rehabilitation, wildlife rescue centre, cremation, burial place and other services. Your panel is /services/[slug]/manage - opening hours, appointment types and incoming bookings, messages and team profiles. Clients book from your profile and then see the visit on their side at /appointments; online payments are not live yet, so the visit is paid directly to you. The directory already holds at least 110,000 providers from 29 countries.

I am a breeder - is there room for me here?

There is. Create the profile at /organizations/new?type=breeder with the breeder type, and the breeder directory is /organizations under the breeder type filter. You manage litters and animal cards from your panel, and breeders are deliberately kept out of shelter surfaces so they never blend into adoptions. Any price shown next to an animal is informational only - you settle it with the buyer directly, off the platform.

What part of my account is public?

Very little by default. A pet memorial stays private until you change its visibility, and you separately decide whether search engines may index it. The health record is off by default, so you turn it on deliberately. Organization and provider listings are public by nature, as are the listings you publish yourself; you can review your data and consents at /account/privacy and /account/privacy/consents, and delete the account at /delete-account.

What does it cost?

Nothing today. Accounts, pet profiles, health records, memorials, lost and hazard reports, the directory, the map, messages, appointment bookings and walks are all free. Online payments are not live yet, so a visit is paid directly to the provider. Tulisko takes no commission on adoptions, rehoming, lost-pet reports or volunteering - and never will.

What Tulisko offers

What can I actually do on Tulisko?

Tulisko brings together an animal directory, a map of organizations and pet service providers, lost pet and hazard reports, pet profiles with a health record, plus walks, meetups and off-leash areas. Accounts are free, online payments are not live yet, and Tulisko takes no commission on adoptions, rehoming, lost-pet reports or volunteering - and never will. The site runs in 28 languages, so it works outside Poland too. Start here: /map, /animals, /help.

I am looking for an animal to adopt - where do I start?

The directory at /animals brings together animals from shelters and foundations, private rehoming posts and animals from breeders, with filters for species, breed, sex and size. Private listings are contact-only - Tulisko does not broker the handover and handles no money; you can post your own at /rehoming/new. Browse organizations at /organizations, breeders in the same /organizations under the breeder type filter, and confirm a shelter adoption at /adoption/accept. Missing a species? Suggest it at /species/suggest.

My pet is missing, I found an animal, or I spotted a hazard

File a report at /help/report - lost, found, or a hazard such as poison bait, broken glass or snares. Shorter dedicated paths cover a found animal (/help/found-animal) and wildlife in trouble (/help/wildlife). At /account/notifications/zones you mark the areas you care about and get an alert (web push included) when something happens there. If the animal you found is microchipped, the chip lookup in that found-animal form notifies its owner without showing you their contact details.

How do I book a visit or a shelter walk?

The service directory is /services. It covers 12 categories: vet, animal hospital / 24h clinic, pet shop, training, groomer, pet-sitting, behaviorist, rehabilitation, wildlife rescue centre, cremation, burial place and other services. Where a provider has published availability, you book straight from their profile; booking is free and you pay for the service directly on site, because online payments are not live yet. Your bookings live at /appointments and your conversations at /messages. From an organization profile (/organizations) you can also book a walk with a shelter animal or apply to volunteer.

Pet gear - what can I pass on or pick up?

The /goods section gathers things for animals, including second-hand items worth a second life. You post one at /goods/second-hand/new, either with a price or marked as free to a good home. Tulisko does not handle the transaction: the price is just part of the listing, and pickup and settlement are between the two of you. Manage your posts at /panel/listings.

Pet profiles, health records and memorial pages

At /pets you keep profiles for your animals, and each one can optionally have a health record that holds the paperwork in one place. When a pet passes away, you can create a memorial page - private by default, so you decide whether and to whom it is shown. Friends and family leave memories and candles with a message there, all free. You can invite co-caretakers to keep the page together, and browse public memorials at /memorial.

Walks, meetups and off-leash areas

Record a walk with GPS at /walks; if you publish it, the areas around your start and end points are trimmed automatically so your address stays private. Group walks with RSVPs are at /meetups, and you can call one yourself. Off-leash areas are at /places - and if one is missing, you can add it in a minute.

Fees

How much does Tulisko cost?

Right now, nothing. Accounts, pet profiles with their health record, memorial pages, regular candles with a message and memories, lost, found and hazard reports, alert zones, the map, search and messages are all free. Online payments are not live yet, so nothing on Tulisko can currently be purchased.

Do you take a commission on adoptions?

No, not a cent. Accepting a shelter adoption and rehoming a pet have no payment path on Tulisko at all - you get in touch directly. On adoptions, rehoming, lost-pet reports and volunteering there will never be a commission. Today there are also no fees or commissions on listings, bookings or item sales, and donations are not switched on at all yet.

Is an organization or service provider profile paid?

No. Creating and running a profile is free: organization, service provider. An organization manages animals in care, needs, volunteering, opening hours and messages for free, and a service provider manages opening hours, staff profiles and messages. The service directory already holds at least 110,000 publicly listed providers across 29 countries. The organization directory holds at least 440 organizations.

How do I pay for a visit booked through Tulisko?

Directly with the provider, however you arrange it. The booking itself and booking a walk with a shelter animal are free, and your slots show up in my appointments. Online payment for visits is not available yet and Tulisko does not handle the settlement.

Does listing a second-hand item cost anything?

No. A listing in second-hand goods is free, and the price shown is informational only - you settle between yourselves off the platform. An empty price field means "giving it away". If a breeder sets a price on their animal, it works the same way: information, not a transaction on Tulisko.

What will be paid in the future?

For memorial pages we have designed one plan plus a one-off gallery pack. Tulisko+ costs PLN 9.90 per month (PLN 99.00 per year), and the gallery pack costs PLN 19.00. Orders in the Tulisko shop will join them - the shop shows products today, but orders cannot be placed. For now this is a price list only: sales and subscriptions are not switched on, so subscriptions and the gallery add-on show the offer without any way to buy.

What are the free account limits?

A free account has a photo limit of 100. The media limit is 1.5 GB. The health-document limit is 250 MB. The storage extension adds photos: +200. It also adds space: +5 GB. It belongs to the future offer described above and is not available yet. If the limit is too tight for you, write to us through the contact page or directly at [email protected] - at this stage we handle it case by case.

Can I already support a shelter through Tulisko?

Not yet. The support page and earmarked donations are switched off until online payments go live, so you will see a notice instead of a form. Shelter needs are visible on their profiles, and you can help today in other ways: volunteering, a walk with an animal in care, or adoption.

Who can do what on Tulisko

What can a shelter or foundation do?

An organization runs its own profile in the /organizations directory: a list of animals in its care, a needs board, opening hours and volunteer intake, all managed from one panel (animals, hours, litters, needs, walks, volunteers, messages). The animals show up in the shared /animals catalog, and a verified organization gets its own pin on the map - the map shows organizations, not individual animals. People can message you via /messages, apply as volunteers and book a walk with a specific animal. Shelters additionally get a litters section; foundations use the same panel without it, and "other" organizations do not run an animal directory. Fundraising through Tulisko is not live yet - the needs board works and shows what you are short of, but the money moves outside the platform.

How is a breeder profile different?

Breeders have their own view of the /organizations directory, under the breeder type filter - with a profile, litters and individual animal cards at /animals/breeder/[id]. Breeders are deliberately kept out of every shelter surface: they never appear in adoptions, needs, volunteering or donations, so nobody confuses a breeding operation with a rescue. You can list a price on an animal, but it is display-only: Tulisko does not run that transaction, and you settle everything directly with the buyer.

What do vets, groomers, petsitters, behaviorists and trainers get?

Every service category gets the same set: a listing in the /services directory, presence on the map and in search, opening hours with an "open now" filter, staff profiles, client messages and appointment booking. There are 12 of them: vet, animal hospital / 24h clinic, pet shop, training, groomer, pet-sitting, behaviorist, rehabilitation, wildlife rescue centre, cremation, burial place, other services. Vets and 24h clinics additionally get access to a pet's health record - always with the owner's consent, because the owner is the one who shares it. The directory already holds at least 110,000 publicly listed providers across 29 countries. The interface runs in 28 languages.

What can a regular user do, without running an organization?

Once you sign up you keep pet profiles (/pets) and their health records, create a memorial page for a pet you lost (private by default, with collaborators, memories and free candles), report lost pets, found animals, hazards and wildlife at /help, and set alert zones at /account/notifications/zones. You can record GPS walks (/walks), organize walking meetups (/meetups), add off-leash areas (/places) and look up the microchip number of an animal you found (/help/found-animal). You can also rehome an animal (/rehoming/new) and give away or sell second-hand things (/goods/second-hand) - the price in a listing is display-only, you settle it off-platform.

How do appointments and shelter walks work?

You book a provider slot from their profile (/services/[slug]), and a walk with a shelter animal from the organization's profile; everything you booked lives in /appointments. Online payment for visits is not enabled, so you pay the provider directly, on site and on their terms. Tulisko only handles the slot, the reminders and the contact.

How do I create an organization or provider profile?

Create an organization at /organizations/new and a service provider profile at /services/new. You pick the type (shelter, foundation, breeder, other organization) or the service category, then invite your team - members are either owners or staff, so you do not have to run it alone. There are already at least 440 organizations from 10 countries on Tulisko.

What does it cost, and does Tulisko take a cut?

Right now everything is free: the account, pet profiles, health records, memorial pages, reports, the directory, the map, messages, bookings, volunteering, walks and listings. Online payments are not live, so nothing can be bought or paid for through the platform today. On adoptions, rehoming, lost-pet reports and volunteering Tulisko takes no commission and never will. Today there is also no commission on bookings, listings or sales - and any price you see (a breeder's animal, a second-hand item) is information for the other side, settled off-platform.

What is not here yet?

Rehoming is contact-only with zero payments, and shelter adoption has no amount field at all - that is a deliberate choice, not a missing feature. The gallery add-on is visible in the interface, but buying it is blocked until payments go live; subscriptions are off separately, because no recurring payments provider is wired up yet. If something is missing, tell us - the species catalog, for one, grows from user submissions (/species/suggest).

Health record and pets

How do I create a pet profile?

Once logged in, add a pet at /pets/new; all your animals then live on the list at /pets. The profile is free. The free plan has a photo limit of 100, counted across the galleries of all your pets and memorials rather than per pet. The space limit is 1.5 GB, counted the same way.

What is the health record, and do I have to turn it on?

The health record is a separate part of a pet's profile (/pets/[petId]/health-record) that you switch on yourself. Nothing happens until you enable it. It keeps your pet's health documents in one place instead of scattered across inboxes and drawers. Documents draw on their own 250 MB pool, separate from the photo limit. The attachment limit for a single pet is 50. It costs nothing.

Who can see my health record?

By default, only you. You grant access one vet at a time: you enter the vet's email address and the date the access should run until, and you can revoke any grant whenever you want. Only providers in the vet and animal hospital / 24h clinic categories can receive such access - they are the only categories in the /services directory allowed to view health records at all. What we hold about you, your consents and account deletion are handled at /account/privacy, /account/privacy/consents and /delete-account.

Are memorial pages and the health record public?

Not automatically. A memorial page starts out private and is not indexed by search engines - it becomes public only when you change that in its settings. The health record works the same way: you enable it deliberately, and it stays off by default.

Is my pet's profile publicly visible?

Not by default. A new pet profile starts out private, visible only to you and the co-caretakers you invite. In the settings you can switch its visibility to public - it then appears in the /pets catalog, on the public-profiles tab - or to unlisted, reachable only by people with the link. You separately decide whether search engines may index the page; a public profile is not handed to them automatically. Private and unlisted profiles never show up in the catalog or in search results.

How does the microchip help if my pet goes missing?

Whoever finds your animal can check the chip number and send a message to the guardian - the contact is relayed through Tulisko, not by publishing your phone number. Report a missing pet at /help/report?type=lost and a found animal at /help/found-animal. Alert zones for missing pets in your area are set up at /account/notifications/zones.

What can I do on a memorial page?

After your pet is gone, you can keep a memorial page (/memorial/[slug]) with a gallery, a portrait and its own visibility settings. You can invite co-caretakers to add photos and memories, and visitors light regular candles with a message - those are free. Online payments are not live yet, so paid extras are unavailable today. You can browse other guardians' public memorials at /memorial.

What does all this cost?

Nothing right now. Accounts, pet profiles, the health record, memorial pages, regular candles and reports are free, and online payments are not live yet. Tulisko also charges no commissions today.
